Written just months after her own break up, and shot by her former partner, Chelsie Preston Crayford presents this searingly intimate portrait of motherhood in difficult times. Featuring herself and her daughter Olive Marama, the film explores the pain of recent separation and the poetry to be found in life itself.
Acclaimed NZ actress, writer and director Chelsie Preston Crayford is the daughter of famous NZ filmmaker Gaylene Preston and has won numerous international awards including a TV Week Logie for her portrayal of notorious Kings Cross madam Tilly Devine in Underbelly: Razor, and a prestigious AACTA Award for her work in ABC’s worldwide hit The Code. As an actor she has worked with many of Australia and NZ’s most celebrated directors including Taika Waititi, Jemaine Clement, Jackie Van Beek, Shawn Seet, Mark Joffe, Robert Sarkies, and Gaylene Preston.
